Girl 18 invented a 20-Seconds super-capacitor phone charger.

Eesha Khare, from California, has just been awarded $50,000 for discovering a simple tech; A super-capacitor phone charger that could charge up a mobile phone in 20 seconds.

She was awarded the Young Scientist Award by the Intel Foundation after developing a tiny device that can last up to 10,000 charge-recharge cycles. (Rechargable batteries can only be recharged about 1000 times).

She created a device that fits inside mobile phone batteries, allowing them to charge within 20-30 seconds.

Unfortunately this gadget has so far only been tested on an LED light, but the good news is it worked just as it was supposed to, meaning it has a good chances of working successfully in other devices like your mobile phone too.

Khare told the NBC she was inspired to create a practical solution after growing frustration that her mobile phone kept dying.
